This is why I blog. Then there’s a brief overview of my life on my first post on this site. Really though, Walt Whitman says all I want to say but better. I write about the days that happen to me, the terrible reaching out days and the hopeful joy-filled ones too; the moving overseas days and the moving back to Australia days; the figuring out this relationship Im in days and the finding the person I am days; fat fri-days and taco tues-days; all of the days. But back to Walt..

Listen! I will be honest with you;
I do not offer the old smooth prizes, but offer rough new prizes;
These are the days that must happen to you:

Forever alive, forever forward,
Stately, solemn, sad, withdrawn, baffled, mad, turbulent, feeble, dissatisfied,
Desperate, proud, found, sick, accepted by men, rejected by men,
They go! they go! I know that they go, but I know not where they go;
But I know that they go toward the best – toward something great.

– Song of the Open Road, Walt Whitman
